What to pack in your stag do survival kit

Whether you’re set to be the groom or a guest on a stag weekend, it’s crucial that you turn up prepared. There’s no telling where the nights are going to take you, so make sure you don’t leave home without the following stag do essentials.

Your favourite hangover cure (and plenty of it)

Everyone has their own favourite, but make sure you have an ample supply for the morning after the big night. If you want to separate fact from fiction and make sure you have a cure that is backed up by science, check out the NHS’s guide to curing — and preventing — the very worst effects of one too many drinks.

Ensure you supply appropriately tailored and customised attire for the groomsmen

Of course, no stag do is complete without matching T-shirts that mark the occasion. Come up with your nicknames, pick a theme, and then get yours ordered in plenty of time for the big night to make it truly memorable.

Unless you happen to have a professional designer within your party, you’ll save time and end up with a better end result by choosing one of the set designs from Custom Planet, which can be customised with names and dates.

Bring plenty of entertainment so the banter doesn’t dry up

You can pick up a deck of cards for next to nothing, and throughout the weekend it can provide hours of fun through drinking games and rounds of blackjack and poker.

Alongside a standard deck of cards, we highly recommend you take along a pack of Meaty Trumps as well — a twist on the classic Top Trumps that features titles such as ‘British Bell-Ends’ and ‘Shit Footballers’. Pick yours up from the Meaty Trumps website.

Don’t be the one who forgets their phone charger

Your phone is going to be pivotal to the weekend, as you’ll need it to round up those who get lost, call a taxi, consult a map, and capture the night’s greatest moments on film. Make sure you remember your charger so you’re not left without your phone and, if you’re heading abroad, be sure to pack an adapter plug — pick up this Tevina travel charger if you don’t already have one, as it is compatible around the world.

Stock up on foreign currency (and cheap booze and cigars)

Speaking of travelling overseas, if your party is heading abroad for the weekend, make sure you get currency exchanged well in advance so you’re not stung by atrocious exchange rates at your destination. This will also give you the added benefit of having a pre-set budget so your wallet doesn’t take too much of a pummelling over the weekend.

If you are heading abroad, make sure to take advantage of the duty-free bargains in the airport. Stock up on booze and cigars at great prices to get yourselves off to a great start to a weekend to remember.

Make sure to stock up on these essentials before your next stag do so you have absolutely everything you need to make it a weekend to remember.
